Product Specialist, Accounting
Bring accounting expertise to every product decision we make.
About the role
You will be our in-house accounting expert, helping product and engineering teams get the details of bookkeeping, tax and reporting exactly right.
You will also help our customers and partners, including accountants, understand and trust what Lumen Ledger does.
What you will do
- Review product specifications for accounting accuracy
- Define how transactions, taxes and currencies should behave in edge cases
- Test features against real-world scenarios and recommend improvements
- Create and maintain our knowledge base for accountants
- Meet with accounting firms to learn how they use the product
What you bring
- CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, or 5 or more years of accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with small business bookkeeping and month-end close
- Ability to explain complex topics simply, in writing and in conversation
- Interest in how software can make accounting better
- Bonus: experience working with multiple currencies or jurisdictions
